PM: Russia to spend 15 bln rbl on aircraft producers' support

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- The government will allocate 15 billion rubles to the new equipment for the aircraft producing facilities like manufacturers of the MC-21 jets, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Monday.

"Under the plan of urgent activities to support the economy, we have envisaged measures to develop high-tech facilities, including support in modern equipment provision to the aircraft producing facilities, so that they can offer good products relying on their own capacities," the official said.

The first batch of the equipment will be bought in 2022, the rest in 2023–2025, he said.

As a result, Russian facilities may start to produce at least 36 jets per year.

The government will spend additional 2 billion rubles on support of the airports where air traffic was suspended driving support to a total of 7.5 billion rubles spent in 2022, Mishustin also said.

"We will keep on helping the airports in several cities of the Southern and Central federal districts, where flight services were suspended,” Mishustin said.

“The government will spend more than 2 billion rubles on reimbursement of their operating spending additionally. We will allocate more than 7.5 billion rubles to the goals this year."
